*Carb Settings*  These Mufflers Are All double Walled Tubing, As Were The Original Z1 900 Mufflers. Proper Carb Settings Will Keep the Header Pipes From Discoloring. (We Have All Seen It Before; The Blue Hue On the Header Pipe) This Can Be Kept At Bay With Proper Fuel/Air Mix. Many Of these Older Bikes Had the Kerker Style 4 Into 1 Pipes. For 4 To 1 Exhaust Setting, the Fuel Mixture Is Set To 'Low' Which Causes The Exhaust Temperature to Be Very High And In Turn Causes the Headers To Change Color. For Stock 4 Into 4 Setup, The Carb Setup Is More Rich And Has a Lower Exhaust Temperature. Proper Setting Of the Carb Can Stop the Header Pipes From Changing Color.
