don't bother rebuilding the old cylinder, if you don't have the right snap ring tool, you are in trouble right away, just pop the new unit on

Looks great on the bike, nice firm lever with very little up and down play which is great and the original cap from my 1976 KZ900 fit on it so it looks more the part, great quality and well worth the money.

I cant rebuild one of these for what these cost. I'd fault the part cosmetically only because the black finish is incomplete on the master cylinder body and the raw aluminum is visible when installed.
